Introduction to Freemasonry in the Community Beaconsfield
This initiative brings together the 23 or more Lodges that call the Masonic Centre in Beaconsfield their home.
Founded by W. Bro Robin Knock PJGD, PPSGW circa. 2010, the first event we ran was a Christmas party for young carers. We have gone on from strength to strength since then, hosting a day of train rides in Holmer Green and now our signature event, the annual Christmas party for Adult Carers.
Some of the initiatives we are working on for 2025 are;
- A day at Holmer Green Railway in association with Autism Bucks and others.
- A day of outdoor pursuits for Young Carers in association with Bucks Carers
- Adult Carers Christmas Lunch in association with Bucks Carers
As a collaborative group, we aim to provide targeted support to local charities and aim to enrich our group in several ways.
- By onboarding less experienced masons who will learn valuable organisation skills and gain experience of how small not-for-profit groups are run by committee. This prepares them for future duties within their Lodges.
- By broadening the number of contributing Lodges, we also widen our reach and impact, drawing on increased energy and working on fresh new initiatives.
A message from our Chair

It is my pleasure and privilege to have been appointed Chair of Freemasonry in the Community Beaconsfield at the committee meeting in Janaury 2025, a small group which is best known for organising the “Adult Carers Christmas Lunch” which is always well received and is only made possible by the generosity of a small number of Beaconsfield based lodges, both from a financial and volunteering perspective.
This group has worked exceptionally well over the many decades it has been established, and I am keen to capitalise on this great foundation and extend its impact further.
The dedicated and hard-working team already have 3 initiatives they are working on, and in making efforts to grow our number, we fully expect to extend our reach and impact over the coming 18 months.
If you have an initiative you would like us to consider, or can offer your energy and time to boost our efforts, please do get in touch.
I look forward to the exciting challenge we have before us.
Sincerely and Fraternally
